TikTok Gambling and Games Ad Policy
TikTok says gambling ads are "only allowed in specified markets where gambling is legal" and only after advertisers pass its certification process. The market list did not appear in the policy text we could read, so we cannot confirm any of our four countries.
TikTok's page, last updated October 2026, says gambling ads are "only allowed in specified markets where gambling is legal."
"To advertise gambling services, you must go through our certification process."
TikTok says "we do not allow gambling ads to be shown to minors."
Social casino games are classed separately from gambling.
Certification first
TikTok's Gambling and Games policy makes certification the entry point: "To advertise gambling services, you must go through our certification process." Certification asks for documents that prove your licenses and legal compliance in each target market. TikTok describes the process under its Industry Pilot Program.
The evidence is similar to what other platforms ask for, so one well-organized license pack serves several applications. The Google Ads certification guide lists the documents to prepare.
Which markets are open
The policy refers readers to a "Market-specific requirements" section. In the text we could read on October 28, 2026, that section held one line: "Requirements are subject to change; other restrictions may apply." No market names appeared.
So for the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and Australia, our matrix shows "Unknown / verify official policy". Ask TikTok during certification whether your market is on its list, and keep the written answer.
Ads with false offers or missing legal transparency requirements.
Ads directed at underage audiences or featuring minors.
Age limits differ by market, from 18 for most gambling in Great Britain to 21 in the US states we cite. The guide to gambling ad age restrictions lists them.
Social casino games
TikTok defines social casino games as "Virtual games that simulate traditional casino games, such as poker or slots, without monetary prizes." They are classed separately from gambling but remain subject to the page's rules on gambling-like activity. Google draws a similar line, covered on the Google Ads gambling policy page.
Questions
Can I run sports betting ads on TikTok in the UK?
We could not confirm it. TikTok says gambling ads run only in specified markets after certification, but its market list was not readable to us. Ask TikTok directly during certification.
Does TikTok allow gambling affiliates?
The policy text we read does not mention affiliates. Ask during certification and keep the answer with your application records.
